Rainbow

The wind and rain woke me yet again last night, wild and threatening.

It's been a season of hurricane force winds and floods and storms, of falling trees and swollen rivers.   Flooded homes and communities. Submerged fields.  Some have lost their lives.  Others are homeless.  We're all stuck under the Atlantic Jet Stream it would appear.  Global warming and climate change then, or else the gods are simply not happy.

Then, a few hours ago, this. Totally unexpected. It lasted perhaps two or three minutes.  Magical.

Isn't it wonderful if we suddenly see some blue sky, some sunshine, or a rainbow? It enhances appreciation!

RR: Yes. The surprise element when I looked up and saw the rainbow was part of the magic.

I am sorry that some people have lost their lives with these scary floods and storms...
Yes, so magical the rainbow!

Oh, a rainbow always lifts my heart. It doesn't matter how often I have seen them, they fill me with amazement and hope.

Gifts like this are life affirming and momentarily thrilling. Perhaps the reminder that beauty is always lingering in the shadows gives us a boost to move forward with eyes wide open so we don't miss one glorious moment. On this morning, seeing you - your words here and your scknowledgement of my recent surgery, has been such a delight. I miss you.

Jenny: Yes indeed.

Sky: How good to hear from you. I love your intelligent and warm comments as evidenced here and on the Panti post below - I've missed you too, though as a passive Facebook useer I have been following your updates.

I do hope you are feeling better with each passing day. I've got some fairly major dental work looming (next appointment tomorrow p.m.) so I particularly feel for you.
